This is a question so many of us wrestle with. If you are a college student, you may be wondering about the purpose for more education and where it is leading you; If you are an adult with a career, you may not be happy, telling yourself, “There must be something more to life.” Or, you may be planning to retire from what you are doing and need a plan for a new educational or career program wherein you can follow your true passion in life.
How many people do you know who have started on an education or career path only to find out later that this is not what they want to do the rest of the life? I have a friend whose brother became a lawyer because of pressure from his father. Law was of some interest to him but his real passion was theatre.
Having realized this, he cut back his legal practice and began participating in local theatre groups more intensively and now he is happy and has the best of both worlds.
No matter the road traveled, there are certain to be stops and barriers. The willingness to tackle and overcome these is directly proportional to your passionate purpose. History includes such people as Franklin Delano Roosevelt who had polio and could not walk, yet fulfilled his dream of being president for three full terms, Ludwig Van Beethoven who continued his passion for musical creation despite deafness or Buzz Aldrin, astronaut and the second man to set foot on the moon, who overcame depression and alcoholism to continue to support his passion for space exploration.
Are you gladly facing the challenges you want to have as you move towards your destination in your education or work? Are you shaping and creating the challenges you know will help you arrive at your desired destination? Are you going in the direction of your dreams, and are you on the right path to creating your future?
If your answer is “NO” to any of these questions, learn more about THE FOUNDATIONS OF BRILLIANCE and have a successful journey to the destination you want to reach.
“There is one quality we must possess to win and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what we want and a burning desire to possess it.” Napoleon Hill, “Think and Grow Rich.”
